I got out to the Y for some cross-training today. I did some circuit training and then some of my lower-body work. I was kind of disappointed because I’ve very much lost some capability since before my layoff due to my son’s health. In some cases, I needed to cut back on weight, on others a few reps, on one I had to drop a whole set. I did manage to do about an hour and ten minutes, but it was still less productive than I would have liked.
I don’t know if I fueled poorly, didn’t hydrate sufficiently, or I just lost some strength. Either way, I need to get back to spending some more time in the gym. I’m hoping that our schedule stabilizes soon so that it’s easier to schedule gym time.
